Clearance certificates for property settled or auctioned in 2020

If you apply for a land tax clearance certificate for a property that will be settled or auctioned in 2020, the certificate will be issued after Thursday 2 January 2020. This allows us to include any 2020 land tax liabilities.

If your settlement date is rescheduled from 2019 to 2020, you can request a certificate update with 2020 liabilities as long as there is no change to the parties involved in the transaction. To request an update for a rescheduled settlement, call us from 2 January 2020 on 13 21 61.
