The SRO has released the latest quarterly data on the top 10 postcodes, based on volumes, for First Home Owner Grants (FHOG) paid in regional Victoria, metropolitan Melbourne, and Victoria overall. This data covers the period from 1 October 2013 to 31 December 2013.

The top 10 list  by volumes overall for the metropolitan area is typically populated by postcodes representing the outer suburbs of Melbourne, however, this quarter the data reveals that three inner suburbs have made that list. The suburbs of South Melbourne (postcode 3205), Melbourne (3000) and Docklands (3008) were the 7th, 9th and 10th most popular metropolitan postcodes by volumes with 67, 55 and 38 grants paid respectively for the three months to 31 December 2013.

The data is also available for various periods since the inception of the FHOG scheme in July 2000. The year-to-date data will continue to be updated on a quarterly basis.
