The Victorian Government has announced a temporary pause on livestock duty from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. This pause applies to duty on cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. You do not need to lodge returns and pay duty to us during this period.

Options to pay duty when you lodge your return or statement.
Credit card
When paying by credit card:
- You need a current Visa or Mastercard.
- A card payment fee of 0.45% applies to all card transactions (fees are not charged for other payment methods).
BPAY
Pay directly from your cheque or savings account using your financial institution's internet or telephone service.
When paying with BPAY:
- Have the biller code and reference number, which appear on your assessment or return submission receipt, with you.

Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
You can transfer your payment to us online directly from your cheque or savings account. Our bank account details are on the assessment notice or the return submission receipt you received.
Payment arrangements
If you want to pay an overdue assessment, you can arrange a payment plan of up to 12 months by completing an online application.
