Change to Commercial Passenger Vehicle Service Levy rate

From 1 July 2023, the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Service Levy (CPVSL) rate will change from $1.05 to $1.15.

The change is due to indexation and is in accordance with section 238 of the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Industry Act 2017.

The CPVSL was introduced on 1 July 2018 and applies to every taxi and hire car trip, including ride share, originating in Victoria.
