Our role is to administer Victoria's taxation legislation and collect a range of taxes, duties and levies.
As part of our compliance strategy, we actively pursue cases where people are not complying with their obligations. Penalties and legal action may result from our investigations.
Our aim is to achieve maximum voluntary compliance and to this end we encourage voluntary disclosures when individuals or companies have not met their Victorian tax obligations. Voluntary disclosures are treated more favourably than when we identify instances of non-compliance.
You can notify us of your own non-compliance (a voluntary disclosure) or provide a tip-off about another person, company or entity.
Information can be given anonymously and all information is protected by our privacy statement and secrecy provisions.
For more information about voluntary disclosures and tip-offs contact us online or call (03) 9628 6807.
