The Victorian Government has announced a temporary pause on livestock duty, effective from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. September 2025 returns must still be lodged and paid by 21 October 2025. This pause applies to duty on cattle, sheep, goats and pigs and includes both the requirement to lodge returns and pay duty to the State Revenue Office during this period.

What is the purpose of this form?
This statement is for the payment of duty by the owner's or owner’s agent on the sale of:
- cattle, calves, sheep, goats and swine, or
- the carcasses of cattle, sheep, goats or swine on or after 1 July 2010.
Approved agents must use a different process to lodge a return and make a duty payment.
Who can complete this form?
This form can be completed by the owner of the livestock or the owner’s agent.
