Change to Commercial Passenger Vehicle Service Levy rate

From 1 July 2021, the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Service Levy (CPVSL) rate will change from $1 to $1.05.

The change is due to indexation and is in accordance with section 238 of the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Industry Act 2017.

The CPVSL was introduced on 1 July 2018 and applies to every taxi and hire car trip, including ride share, originating in Victoria.
