2018 land tax assessments now landing
Published on 19 February 2018
The first of the 2018 land tax assessments are being distributed, with more to come over the next couple of months.
If you own property in Victoria, paying land tax depends on the land you own, what it is used for, and its total value. You pay land tax if the total value of all taxable land you own is $250,000 or more. Taxable land doesn't include exempt land, such as your principal place of residence. If you are an absentee owner you will have to pay a surcharge.
