Most people pay the levy when they lodge their quarterly return via the online portal. If you do not lodge a return and pay the levy, an assessment notice will be issued.

Paying via the online portal

Once you have submitted your return, you can pay the levy by credit card or direct debit.

Credit card

To pay by credit card you need a current Visa or Mastercard.

A card payment fee of 0.45% applies to all credit card transactions.

Direct debit from your bank account

To pay by direct debit you must provide your:

  • account name
  • account number
  • BSB.

Direct debit payments are one-off. You need to re-authorise payment of the levy each quarter.

Payments exceeding $5 million

We are unable to accept payments exceeding $5 million via the online portal. Please call us on 13 21 61 to arrange payment.

Our business hours are 8:30 am–5 pm (AEST/AEDT), Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. For international callers, please call (+61) 3 9628 0000 during business hours.
