Steps to begin managing your land tax online.

You can easily access and manage your land tax information via My Land Tax. Registration only takes a few minutes.

If you are already registered, you can log in to My Land Tax using your email and password.

Step 1: Enter your customer details

On the My Land Tax registration page, enter your customer number and the assessment number from your land tax assessment notice. If you are a new land tax customer, you cannot register for My Land Tax until you have received your first assessment notice.

Step 2: Confirm your identity

To confirm your identity, enter your date of birth.

If you are registering on behalf of a company or trust, enter: 

  • the municipal property number of a property that you own (listed on your council rates notice), or
  • an amount paid towards a previous land tax assessment.

Step 3: Provide your contact details

Provide your contact details and select your land tax assessment delivery method (via My Land Tax or post).

Step 4: Activate your account

Open the email we send you and click the link to activate your account and create a password.

Step 4: Log in

After activation, log in to My Land Tax using your email and password.

If something doesn’t look right, call us on 13 21 61 or contact us online.

You can use My Land Tax to:

  • view and download your land tax assessments (from the last 5 years)
  • update property ownership and contact details
  • request exemptions
  • make payments
  • track the progress of your enquiries.
