Pay the short stay levy

Options to pay your return or assessment notice.

Pay your return via the online portal

When you lodge a short stay levy return via the online portal, you can pay by credit card or one-off direct debit.

Credit card

To pay by credit card, you need a current Visa or Mastercard.

A card payment fee of 0.45% applies to all credit card transactions.

Direct debit from your bank account

To pay by direct debit, you must provide your:

  • account name
  • BSB
  • account number.

Direct debit payments are one-off. You need to re-authorise payment each quarter/year, depending on whether you lodge quarterly or annually.

Pay your assessment notice

If you receive an assessment notice, you can pay by BPAY or credit card.

BPAY

You can pay directly from your cheque or savings account using your financial institution’s internet or telephone service. 

You can also pay in person at any participating Australian Post office.

To pay by BPAY, you need the biller code and reference number shown at the bottom left of your assessment notice.

BPAY payments may take up to 3 days to be cleared.

To pay by credit card via our website, you need:

  • a current Visa or Mastercard
  • your State Revenue Office customer number and assessment number shown on your assessment notice.
