Pay your commercial passenger vehicle service levy
Options to pay your return or assessment notice.
Paying via the online portal
Once you have submitted your return, you can pay the levy by credit card or direct debit.
Credit card
To pay by credit card, you need a current Visa or Mastercard.
A 0.45% fee applies to all credit card payments.
Direct debit from your bank account
To pay by direct debit, provide your:
- account name
- account number
- BSB.
Direct debit payments are one-off. You need to re-authorise payment each quarter.
Payments over $5 million
We cannot accept payments over $5 million via the online portal. Please call us on 13 21 61 to arrange payment.
Our business hours are 8:30 am–5 pm (AEST/AEDT), Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. If you are outside Australia, call (+61) 3 9628 0000 during business hours.
Paying a default assessment
If you do not lodge a return and pay the levy by the due date, we will send you a default assessment.
A default assessment is based on estimated trips and may include penalties and interest.
If you receive a default assessment, you can pay by credit card or BPAY.
Credit card
You need:
- a current Visa or Mastercard
- your customer number (top right of your assessment notice)
- your reference number (below each payment method on your assessment notice).
A 0.45% fee applies to all credit card payments.
BPAY
You can pay directly from your cheque or savings account using your bank’s internet or telephone service.
To pay an assessment notice by BPAY, you need the biller code and reference number (bottom left of your assessment notice).
